Yes — transport is built in
ticketingbook supports coach, shuttle, bus, and parking-style travel in two complementary ways. Pick the model that matches how you operate.
| Approach | Best for | Fan experience |
|---|---|---|
| Add-on on the main event | One coach route, optional at ticket purchase | Tick "Return coach" during checkout on the same order |
| Separate transport listing | Multiple routes, operators, or dedicated inventory | Buy from a dedicated transport page linked to the main show |
Option A — Add-on on the main event (simplest)
Use this when you run one coach (or a few optional extras) and fans should add travel while buying tickets.
Setup (organizer)
- Open your event in the dashboard → Ticket types section.
- Create an add-on (e.g. "Return coach — Glasgow", "Park & ride pass").
- Set price, description (pickup point, departure time, return time), and capacity if limited.
- Publish the event.
Fan checkout
On the public event page (/e/your-event), add-ons appear under ticket selection. Fans select tickets, tick the coach add-on, and pay once through Stripe.
Tips
- Put pickup location and times in the add-on description — it appears at checkout and on the confirmation.
- Set max quantity if coach seats are limited separately from venue capacity.
- Add-ons work with promo codes and appear on the same registration record as the ticket.
Option B — Separate transport listing (multi-route / Ticket Pool style)
Use this when transport is its own product: different cities, operators, pricing, or inventory from the main concert.
Setup (organizer)
- Create your main event first (e.g. "The Gathering") and note its URL slug (
/e/the-gathering-2026). - Create a second event for transport:
- Title: e.g. "Glasgow coach to The Gathering"
- Ticket types: e.g. "Return seat", "Single journey"
- Venue / city: departure city or pickup point
- In event settings → Listing type → choose Transport & travel.
- Fill in:
- Main event name — shown as "Travel for The Gathering" on discovery cards
- Main event URL slug —
the-gathering-2026(links fans back to the show page)
- Publish the transport event.
Repeat step 2 for each route (Edinburgh coach, Manchester coach, etc.) — same main event slug on all of them.
Discovery
Transport listings appear under Transport & travel on the Find events homepage and in search. Each has a bus badge and shows which main event it serves.
What is not automatic yet
The main event page does not yet show a live "Coaches available" block that lists linked transport events. Fans find transport via discovery filters or links you share. Link transport pages from your main event description, email, or social posts until cross-sell UI ships.
Which option should I choose?
| Scenario | Recommendation |
|---|---|
| Single return coach with the ticket | Add-on |
| Multiple departure cities | Separate transport listings per route |
| Third-party coach operator selling separately | Separate listing with its own payout account |
| Coach + parking + merch | Add-ons on main event, or mix both models |
Buying transport (attendees)
- Find events → filter Transport & travel, or follow a link from the organizer.
- Open the transport listing — confirm date, pickup, and price.
- Checkout like any other ticket; you receive QR / wallet passes for the coach order.
- Your main event ticket is a separate purchase unless you bought an add-on on the same order.
If you bought an add-on, it appears on the same confirmation as your ticket.
Payouts & Stripe Connect
Paid transport follows the same rules as ticket sales: the event must use an active Stripe Connect payout account before publish. Each transport listing can share the main event's Connect account or use its own (Event → Settings → Payout account).
